Hail holy Queen enthroned above, O Maria,

Hail Queen of mercy and of love, O Maria,

Triumph all ye Cherubim, Sing with us, ye Seraphim,

The cause of joy to all below, O Maria,

The spring through which all graces flow, O Maria,

Angels all your praises bring, earth and heaven with us sing,

All creation echoing, Salve, Salve, Salve Regina.

O gentle loving holy one, O Maria,

The God of light became your Son, O Maria,

Triumph all ye Cherubim, Sing with us, ye Seraphim,

Dearest maiden sweet Mary,

Mother affectionate, Virgin inviolate,

Intercede and pray for us O Mary.

Virgin mother, good Mary,

What e’er our souls desire, May you help us to acquire,

Aid us, save us  Mary,

Wipe away the tears we shed, heal us of our grief and dread,

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

First Reading: Revelations 11: 19, 12: 1-6, 10

Responsorial:  Psalm 45

Second Reading: I Corinthians 15: 20-26

Gospel: Luke 1: 39-56

KEY VERSE:Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you

    will bear!”                                                                                         Luke 1: 42

READINGS:  From our first reading, Mary, the mother of Jesus was at the

very center of the struggle between the powers of evil and the powers of

good.  However, the Father took special care of her and her child.  Paul wrote

in our second reading that Jesus is the new Adam who undoes all the harm

done by the old Adam. We see that Mary is the new Eve who undoes the

harm done by the old Eve.  Our gospel tells us that Mary had no doubt about

the importance of the role she had been given by God.  However, she gave all

the credit and glory to God.

REFLECTION: We know that we owe our redemption to the sacrificial

death of Jesus.  Still we must not forget the part that Mary played in the

drama of our salvation.  Without her there would not have been a Savior. We

love and honor her not just because she is the mother of Jesus but because of

what she has done and still does for us. Mary the humble maid of Nazareth

shared the life, passion, and death of Jesus that she now shares His glory.

We too are called to share in the Glory of our Savior, but we must first

Share in His life and death.  Mary, our Mother will help us in the moments of

    Our weaknesses, discouragement and failure.

PRAYER:  Hail Mary, full of grace. the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou

among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary

Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death
     Amen.

Holy Family Parish is counting on our younger generation

to continue our mission. Our future depends upon your

participation for growth.  Become involved and invite

          your unchurched friends to Mass.
