Opening Hymn: “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus”

PNCC Hymnal #29

Come Thou long expected Jesus, born to set Thy people free.

From our fears and sins release us; let us find our rest in Thee.

Israel’s strength and consolation, hope of all the earth Thou art,

Dear desire of ev’ry nation, joy of ev’ry longing heart.

Born Thy people to deliver, born a child and yet a king,

Born to reign in us forever, now Thy gracious Kingdom bring.

Be Thine own eternal Spirit, rule in all our hearts alone,

By Thine all sufficient merit, raise us to Thy glorious Throne.  Amen.

Closing Hymn: “O Come, Divine Messiah”

PNCC Hymnal 28, verses 1 & 2

Refrain:
Sweet Savior haste; Come, come to earth, Dispel the night and show Thy face, and bid us hail the dawn of grace. O come, divine Messiah! The world in silence waits the day.
When hope shall sing its triumph and sadness flee away.

O come, divine Messiah!
The world in silence waits the day
When hope shall sing its triumph,
And sadness flee away. R:

O Thou, whom nations sigh for,
Whom priests and prophets long foretold,
Wilt break the captive fetters;
Redeem the long-lost fold. R:

Synopsis of the Meeting:  The Financial, Audit Reports and 2017 Budget were passed.  A full board was elected and the parish organizations gave their reports of past year activities.  Membership to the PNU and PNU Social Membership was encouraged.  We need added help with our Pierogi Program and for International Village. If we do not receive the help, we may discontinue programs which will bring a financial loss to the parish. The Verizon Tower on the parish cemetery is scheduled for installation this spring upon approval of the zoning board, Plans are being considered about selling the lower portion of the Holy Family Cemetery, the establishment of a Mission & Evangelism Committee, where volunteers are needed, and from the Diocesan Synod mandated a $10 increase in the Diocesan Development Fund which will now be $40.00 a year beginning in 2017.

Mission & Evangelism Committee

Mission and Evangelism is a key component of a healthy parish.  In the Year of Reverence, it our objective to spiritually grow within and expand to those who are looking for a Church Family.  As pastor, I would like our younger parishioners to step up and work on a Mission & Evangelism Committee to secure the future of our parish. Speak with Fr, Bruce.
