“O come, all ye faithful; joyful and triumphant; O come ye, O come ye, to Bethlehem! Come and behold Him, born the King of angels; come let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.”

2016 Christmas Schedule

Christmas 2016

Dear Holy Family Parishioners and Friends,

Many weeks before the day finally arrives, people begin to celebrate Christmas. There are lights blinking at night in windows, on trees, and on the outside of buildings. There are lots springing up to sell Christmas trees. There is Christmas music in the stores and on the radio. There are thoughts of what to buy, and sales to draw our attention. We are having a time of celebration. But, are we celebrating the right way, or the wrong way?

Christmas is a time to promote peace on earth. It is a time to think of others that may not be as fortunate. It is a time to reflect on the true hope for this world. This is the "good will" that honors and pleases Jesus. Remember, it is the Lord 's birthday we are celebrating, the One who brings our redemption. When we celebrate Christmas in the right way, we bring glory and honor to God. The angels said, "Glory to God in the highest," and our greatest ambition should be to glorify God in all our activities at Christmas. Then, we should be sure to keep Jesus Christ at the center in our celebrations. Many times, too much attention is given to Santa Claus and decorations which is not a bad celebration, but we must remember, Christmas is all about Jesus, our only Savior.

Let the Holy Spirit lift your spirit in true and lasting happiness this Christmas by realizing the true meaning of Christmas. Let the commemoration of the birth of our Lord become a rebirth to your faithfulness in Christ and His Church and let your spiritual life flourish.  The doors are open here in Holy Family Parish to pursue such growth.

God, bless you and yours, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year and see you at Mass. Invite a friend with you.

Christmas Eve Procession

It has been a long- standing parish tradition of having our parish youth process with the Nativity figurines on Christmas Eve.  We encourage parents to bring their children to participate. SAMBS members are to participate during the procession.

Sacristans and Acolytes

It is requested that all Sacristans and Acolytes be present for the Pasterka Mass Christmas Eve.  Your service will be needed to enhance our Christmas Eve Mass celebration.

Mission & Evangelism Committee

Mission and Evangelism is a key component of a healthy parish.  In the Year of Reverence, it our objective to spiritually grow within and expand to those who are looking for a Church Family.  As pastor, I would like our younger parishioners to step up and work on a Mission & Evangelism Committee to secure the future of our parish. Speak with Fr, Bruce.

Christmas Flowers

Help us beautify our parish this Christmas through a generous Christmas Memorial & Thanksgiving Poinsettias floral offering.  Envelopes are provided in the Parish Vestibule. Donations are $12.00 per plant.

Church Decorating

The Christmas decorating in the Church is scheduled on Saturday, December 17th beginning at 9:00 A.M.  Come and join us.  We will need help. Bring a family Christmas ornament on Sunday, December 18th and place it on our Parish Family Christmas Tree in the Narthex of our worship center.

As we close phase 2 of our Church’s Future Directives, thank you to all who contributed to the various community projects this past year:  Women Place Angel Tree Children Gifts and Clothing Drive, Salvation Army Angel Tree Children Gifts, Boy Scout Food Drive, Animal Shelter, etc. To those who helped during this year’s Fundraisers: our pierogi volunteers, those who supported our parish dinners and activities and to those who worked International Village. Also to those who maintained our parish cemeteries during the summer months.

Stewardship Envelopes

The 2017 Parish Stewardship Envelopes can be found in the Church Narthex.
